St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology

St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology in Windsor, Ontario – located in Canada’s southernmost city and at the heart of North America – is ideally suited to take advantage of local, national and international opportunities. The College has forged links with technology-based industries, making it possible to incorporate the latest technologies into its programs and ensure that its students graduate with up-to-date skills.

The College’s partnerships also extend to other education providers, such as its advanced automation program known as Mechatronics, offered at the Kent Skills Centre in Chatham. Internationally, its reach extends through collaboration with the Association of Canadian Community Colleges to provide programs and services that have included Barbados, Trinidad, the People’s Republic of China, Thailand, and Malaysia. The College also offers a two-year diploma in International Business.

Transfer arrangements with universities in Canada and the United States facilitate the transfer of credits between St. Clair and other institutions.

Students at St. Clair can choose from a number of particularly fine programs. These include programs for careers as Veterinary Technicians, working with emotionally and physically challenged through the Developmental Services Worker program, or working as Sign Language Communicators or Interpreters. Also offered are programs in Information Technology, CAD/CAM, Moldmaking, Toolmaking and Plastics.

The College has made strides in Learner-Centred Delivery methods and this has opened up new and exciting opportunities. Instructors utilize computerized testing and study skills diskettes that enhance learning. St. Clair students have the use of several open computer labs where independent work can be completed.

The future holds many challenges and opportunities for St. Clair College. Proud of the links it has forged, St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology will continue to offer programs and courses that meet the needs of the local community while expanding its sphere to the community-at-large.
